One of many heartaches

One of the things you don't know is what an abandoned child has gone through.
Last night we were Facetiming the kids and then our friends in Michigan. Ella needed to go pee (and when she needs to go, she needs to go).
So I took her upstairs. When she was done she wanted to put her shoes on and I took mine off. She started to cry. Not the cry of a tantrum but of fear of loss or abandonment.
Then just now I was going out to get a Pepsi from the street vendor. Well when I put my shoes on and Mommy didn't she again started to wail. It breaks your heart.
Luckily I was able to calm her down an then I gave her my phone to hold while I was gone. That worked.
Wow. Going to have to figure out how to do that when I go out to work.
