Forgetting...

I am really at a loss right now on our American thinking...
We seek so hard to remember things...
We pay large sums for memory techniques.
We spend millions on Historical markers, or fancy landmarks to help us make a legend out of something or someone.

We wear braclets around our wrists, tatoo's on our body..
Photos in our walets..
Signs on our mirrors...

Yet we still forget.

We forget events that changed our lives.
We forget the people who made us who we are.
We forget people's past performances in the work place.
We forget the strengths of those around us.
We forget their love for us the moment they question us.
We forget....

We forget....

It reminds me of 2 Kings where verse after vs. we see "And they did wicked in the eyes of the Lord..." then a generation or 2 later they 'REMEMBER' and come back...
Yet it is short lived, and they return to forgetting God...

So if you are out there reading this and you feel forgotten...
Maybe by God, by your bosses, your co-workers, your friends, your family...

Remember that we serve a God who doesn't forget.
He knows us by name and knows our worth.
We find all our worth in HIM.
Not in our jobs.
Not in our STUFF...

BUT IN HIM!
