There have been many times when I have watched life unfold as though I was watching an episode of "ADVENTURES IN MISSING THE POINT!!"
A Pastor will get up and preach a sermon so full of passion about helping those around you, and all the while people ignore it. They feel it wasn't for them.
Or they walk out the front door getting in someones way and don't even notice or say excuse me, they are in too much of a hurry to get to the donuts before they are all gone.
It is these episodes that tell me the CHURCH of Christ could and should be so much more. We are NOT living up to our full potential.
In the recent movie "TO SAVE A LIFE" there is a scene where the main character experiences this and has had enough....
So where do you sit?
Are you too busy talking about the game? Or maybe leaning over to your husband during the sermon to tell him about all the things that need to get done that day.
What are we missing? How did we get so far off track from the church of ACTS?
