I was sick this morning and didn't get to go to church so I was listening to Erwin McManus and Mosaic Church. He told this story of a women asking him how they would be able to keep this church from becoming so big that it becomes a MEGA church.
Erwin asked her if she ever was concerned that the Peace Corp would have ONE too many people to be effective? Or 1 too many people working to stamp out AIDS in the world... in all of his examples she said 'NO.'
He then said, "That shows that you see those organizations as actually having a valuable contribution to make to the world. But you don't see the church that way and thus you try to keep it small..."
WOW!!! How true is that.
